Displaying Subcatebories

Hi,

Just looking for a little bit of help…
I’ve got my online store set up so that when you view a category, the subcategories are displayed instead of the individual products in that category.

My question: is it possible to configure how these subcategories are listed/shown – eg, at the moment they have name followed by the number of products in that category in brackets. For some reason, this number seems to be highlighted in yellow – is there anyway of removing this highlight, and even the number & brackets as well?
