[resolved] Displaying sidebar on every post page (5 posts)

I recently moved my WP blogs from WordPress server to my own custom domain.

I noticed that on my own custom domain, the sidebar is just displayed only on my home page but not on my individual post pages unlike on WP server where sidebar is displayed on all individual post pages along with homepage.

How can I also display my sidebar on every post page?

Study your theme. By default, the Kubrick theme won't display the sidebar on post pages. If you want to include it add the call to it that was left out. Look at the difference between index.php and single.php to see what I'm talking about.

Also, if you do that you're going to have to make some modifications to single.php as well since the area holding the content has been widened to include the space previously occupied by the sidebar. Notice the use of class=”narrowcolumn” and class=”widecolumn”.

Thanks LenK. This will get me started although it would be great if someone who already did that can highlight the exact steps required. I am scared to mess up with the code that I really don't understand.

It's not hard. Take your time and study the differences between index.php and single.php Study the style sheet to see how one makes use of class=”narrowcolumn” and the other class=”widecolumn”.
