Displaying Posts in Columns and Rows

I’m using the propulsion theme by Kriesi and want to use this widget but need to display posts into columns and rows, not just rows like the default settings do. Can someone please help me with either shortcode, php or css to do this? Preferably shortcode but whatever works.
