This isn’t something supported out of the box via the plugin, but with a little custom code it’s something you could definitely add! You can check out the filters available here: https://github.com/alleyinteractive/apple-news/wiki/Action-and-Filter-Hooks – in particular apple_news_exporter_content_pre would be a good one to look at.
