Displaying / Organizing WordPress Plugins Page

Who do we talk to or ask about the design / setup of the WordPress plugins search page. My comment is – why doesn’t wordpress create a search page that can organize all plugins that are available by date, popularity, age, wordpress version, etc.

It is not easy to navigate hundreds of plugins to look for one specific type one needs. I love wordpress and I do get to find the things I need but it would be a lot easier if there was some organization on this page.

My apologies if this is the wrong place to post a comment such as this. Please let me know who to contact if that is the case.

Otherwise I would like to know how other people feel about this.
