• Greetings,

I stumbled accross what seems to be a question floating around on the forums while trying to accomplish this task.

Using Alex King Links Widget I am given the option to display certain links on a specific page or area using the is_category () functionality. This is great. Right now I have a Parent Category on my blog called Interscholastics with child categories of Football, Soccer, etc… What I want to have happen is this. When someone looks at the index or home page of the site there is a set of links they should not see. When they browse to Intersholastics the links are displayed. This is all working fine, but I want the links to remain when they browse into child categories since the links are all athletic in nature. Is there no way to use the is_category with multiple categories all at once. Basically using a boolean operator to say (in english) Display this if you are in this category or this category or this category etc… or maybe more specifically if you are a child of this category.

    Any help would be great.

You can maybe see where I am headed with this if you browse to http://www.nelhs.org and check out the main page vs. the interscholastics page on the drop down.

    Thanks again
