Two issues on a site at staging.naifacalifornia.org.

    1. When I hover over an icon, the links to the various actions are cut off at the top. Is there any way to display those links below rather than above the icon? Or some other solution?

    2. My expectation is that if I clicked on the icon itself that it would take me to the social network site. Is that not what should happen? I love the extra functionality but from a usability perspective a click on the icon absolutely has to go to the social network site as that is what everybody would expect.

    Thanks

Thank you for your questions lsivlver.

Regarding 1: The only solution would be to place them lower. However, I got your point, I’ll try to see if we can give users the option if the tooltip should appear above or below the icons.

Regarding 2: The icons will take you to the social sites when you only give them this function. As soon as you give the icon several functions, we show the menue and users need to pick. However here again, it’s an interesting suggestion, maybe we can still make a click on the icon go to the social media site. Let us look into this as well (may take a while, we’re currently working on a major update).

Okay thanks. This is a very interesting plugin and one I’d gladly pay for. But those are two big issues for me to use them on my sites. I guarantee if you used a click capture tool you’ll see tons of people clicking on the icon expecting it to happen. Thanks for being open to the suggestion.

I close this topic now. We still have this on our list as feature request.
