# Displaying images with shortcode

 * I discovered that there’s a way to display images in events such as: `<img src
   ="http://placehold.it/200x300">` and they’ll show up when I use the standard 
   shortcode method of `[events]`. However, when I try the PHP in-page method of`
   <?php do_shortcode('[events]'); ?>` not even in the markup do they appear. Do
   I need to put something in my ‘functions.php’ file to make this work for me?
