Displaying field content on live site.

I’m working on building a site where each author has it’s own image (non-gravatar) and there is an additional field for their company ranking (CEO, Vice President, President, Customer Service, etc.).

Now, where exactly are the call tags for the template files themselves? Like:

the_author(); by default works

But how do I call the ‘companyranking’ and ‘authorimage’ fields that I created so I can put it into the index.php template file for each blog post?
