    Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to display a custom taxonomy term via the sidebar widget? I.e. instead of {category}, something like {category[my_custom_taxonomy]}.

    Thanks!

At the moment WPP can only display categories (as you already noticed hehe.) Showing oyher taxonomies (tags, for example) is not possible yet.

    So:

    • You can use WPP’s filter hooks to build a more complex HTML markup (and add in there your custom taxonomy via WordPress stock functions.)
    • I think WPP 4.0 (check the GitHub repo) already supports the {taxonomy} tag. Haven’t tested it though, if you feel brave enough give it a go and let me know how it goes.
    • If it’s not something you absolutely _need_ right now, you could just wait until WPP V4 is finally out (it’s mostly stable, just need to fix a couple of minor issues and it’ll be good to go.)

Thanks for the quick reply, Hector.

It’s not vital so I will just omit the category for now until WPP 4.0 comes along.

    Thanks again!
