Displaying categories on pages

    I am trying to create a new page and have it display a particular category.
    I have been reading and trying different ideas but nothing seems to work.
    I also want to change the order in which categories appear on my front page.
    Any ideas?

    I am trying to create a new page and have it display a particular category.

    A particular category?? Don’t need to create a Page because WordPress will automatically present all the posts in a category when a visitor clicks on a category link.

    I also want to change the order in which categories appear on my front page.

    Look at the template tag, wp_list_categories(), and the orderby= argument.
