    @ultramatrix – Try something like this:
    [ngg_images source='random_images' container_ids='1' display_type='photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails' images_per_page='1000' order_by='rand()' maximum_entity_count='6’ disable_pagination=1]

    The container_ids would be your gallery ID and the disable_pagination will stop the pagination navigation from displaying if there are more than six (6) images in the display.
