• At the top of my archive I’d like to create a list of links to permalink anchors on the same page. I’ve added permalink_anchors to all the posts already. But how do I link to them?

  • Kinda lost as to what you want. Do you mean something like this? http://www.sporadicnonsense.com/archives/

    If so, the plugin is here: http://www.sporadicnonsense.com/2005/04/28/clean-archives-plug-in/

    Thanks for responding Viper! I should have clarified. My archives page has the full content of all the entries displayed (10 per page and I don’t allow comments). This gets quite long, of course. So at the top of the page, I’d like to have permalinks that link to the anchors of each entry on the page.

    So sporadicnonsense.com’s plugin wouldn’t help because it generates a list of links to single post pages. Whereas my archives don’t link to single post pages — all the content is on the archive pages themselves.

    I hope that helps clarify things. Sorry I didn’t mention it before. I haven’t seen any examples of permalink anchors being used in the Codex or anywhere so I thought I’d ask here: how do I generate a list of permalinks that link to anchors on the same page?

    I dont quite get it either? You mean something like the following?

    <a href=“<?php the_permalink() ?>><?php the_permalink()?></a>

    Alpha, I’m really talking about a list of links to anchors on the same page. eg Post #228558 that takes you to <div id=”post-228558″>. And I need to create a list of these links to anchors in blog posts on the same page in my archive.
