 * Can a display have more than one channel assigned?
 * I have groups of slides as channels that could be re-used on different displays.
 * Like HR channel, production stats channel, employee rewards channel. So one display
   would show all three of those channel slides.
 * Currently, I only see one channel for display and also an alternate channel with
   time period.
 * The way it appears to be setup now is that a display can only show one channel
   so in effect, the channels aren’t really needed if you have to organize the content
   uniquely for each display anyway.
 * Am I missing something in the display screen?
 * Thanks,
    Chuck

 * As far as I can see, there are not much possibilities. I think you can obviously
   play only one channel at one time (otherwise it doesn’t make sense). So you have
   to schedule your channels. In the case you described, I would set up temporary
   channels (no default or standard channel), each one with it’s own time schedule
   which of course should not overlap. After running out of the time, you have to
   set up a new schedule manually. This is what I can see in the display configuration
   possibilities and I think there is room for improvements, for example, periodically
   recurring time schedules, in which case you wouldn’t have to enter it manually.

 * Hi [@carock96](https://wordpress.org/support/users/carock96/),
 * You can think of channels as slideshows. And displays as TV screens. You can
   create one slideshow (channel) and then tune into this on multiple TV’s (displays).
   Also you can change the channel on a display, or schedule a temporary channel.
   [@mh137](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mh137/) is right scheduling is quite
   limited at the moment, I’m working on more advanced scheduling including recurring.
 * I like your idea of creating re-usable slide groups and combining those slide
   groups into channels. I’ve added this to my list of feature request. But as said,
   at the moment channels are pretty simple, just a collection of slides.
