    Hello;

I would like to be able to display the subcategories on my main shop page, instead of the main categories.

On my test site I have 3 main categories, and a few sub categories under each main one. I can set the shop page to display categories, and the category to show the subs, but I want to show the subs on the shop page.

    Any way to do this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

I would like to be able to display the subcategories on my main shop page, instead of the main categories.

On my test site I have 3 main categories, and a few sub categories under each main one. I can set the shop page to display categories, and the category to show the subs, but I want to show the subs on the shop page.

I understand that you’d like to show subcategories on the shop page.

With WooCommerce by default, it is possible to show products, categories or both on the shop page:

There isn’t a default way to show sub-categories though.

You could add a categories block, however, that would add sub-categories above the default WooCommerce shop page content and not replace it:

Alternatively, you could customize the code in order to show subcategories, these articles explain similar code customizations:

    https://www.businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-show-product-subcategories/

    https://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/display-woocommerce-categories-subcategories-and-products-in-separate-lists–cms-25479

    I hope this helps!

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately none of the options worked for me.

The categories blocks do not provide an option to display only subcategories.

The businessbloomer link provided two options and neither of them worked. and the last link goes to a page not found error.

That said, I found a solution myself using standard manual links to the pages themselves, so all is well.
