Support » Fixing WordPress » Display site when no internet available?

  • I know this isn’t really a WordPress question but, I have to show my site to some content providers who don’t have web access – honest there still are people like that out there. Is there any way I can do this? Can I save it some how?

  • Install WordPress locally. There are some web servers out there that you can run on a memory stick.

Not really. If they are offline they would need to have your website, your database, PHP, MySQL and a server that is set up to display your site available locally.

There may be a plugin that can take a ‘snapshot’ of your site – that is create the HTML for every post/page and save it so that you can navigate that way, but it’s not something I know off. Also that would mean that your site is not dynamic, so you would be able to show literally only those pages.

[EDIT – Or what Esmi said! Webserver on a memory stick sounds awesome!!]
