They can still buy, provided your site allows for guest checkouts (this is set under **WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout > Checkout Process**).
Thank you, but what happens if they already have an email registered but this option is disabled ?
I tested again and got this message:
An account is already registered with your email address. Please login.
But it doesn’t offer to login (because the option is disabled)
Guest checkout is enabled also.
This is in case they tick the CREATE AND ACCOUNT box, and the problem is that it it not written anywhere that hey can still purchase with the same email without login in if they untick this box.
I think they should be allowed to buy even with an Email that is already registered and even if they do not want to login, and even if the box create an account it selected.
What do you think ?

So it seems that we should never select by default to automatically open an email for customers.
If a customer might buy from you more than once, having an account allows the customer to see all their past orders. The account is also a place where they can get any downloads they have purchased. Some stores allow discounts for logged-in customers.
I think its up to you as store owner to decide whether these features would be useful for your customers. If they are, to be consistent, get the customer to login. I think a customer who has an account would expect to have to login to buy something else.
If the account feature is of no use to your customers, disable/hide it altogether. You don’t have to have it.
Most customers won’t remember that they have an account and won’t understand why they can’t buy without login in if the box OPEN AN ACCOUNT is ticked.
Also, most wordpress emails go to spam, so people will never get the email to reset their password.
So the only solution is to never open an account and ask people to login.
Not sure if you are talking about theory but I am talking about 10 years experience with different shops systems.
