Display random review?

    I have a site where I have many reviews on a separate page, but would like to display just one review on the homepage.

    I’d really like that review to be random if possible.

    Right now I’m just using [RICH_REVIEWS_SHOW num=”1″] on the homepage. But it would be awesome if there could be an additional string like random=”1″ or something.

    Possible?

    Bnonn,

    Currently you can get this effect by setting the “order by” option, in the “Display Options” section of the options tab within the Rich Reviews Dashboard to Random. This will, however, be the order that is applied to all of your reviews display. So if you have a section displaying “most_recent” and you don’t want that to change, you would have to modify the plugin, seeing as shortcode specific order parameters aren’t currently built into the plugin. I have thought for some time about adding an “order by” parameter to the shortcode to over-ride the global order setting, so perhaps I will go ahead and add this in the next update.
