Sorry for my late reply.
I didn’t try to deactivate all other plugins, because I need them and I didn’t had time to install a test server.
I had a backup of your plugin file in version 2.1.9 and it works perfectly. I hope the display will be corrected in next version.
with the last version, the slideshow didn’t display anything. Even the title was not displayed.

The plugin works perfectly well on my testerver.
Are you sure you saved the correct source and category? As long as you don’t follow my points I am unable to help you
