Display Post Data Belonging To A Category

    Hi All,
    I need to find all the post data i.e. the whole post related information of every posts that belong to a specific category. The problem here is that when I go deeper and create sub-categories and assign some new articles to them, these articles automatically gets included in the list of posts of the top categories to which the sub-categories belong, when I have assigned the new articles to only the sub-cats.
    (This I get through the tags, function or whatever I could muster up)

    Hoping someone has an easy answer via tags or functions of WordPress API.
