The free Posts Table with Search & Sort plugin only displays posts. If you upgrade to Posts Table Pro then you can display any content type including pages.

You would also need the premium version to list 697 pages because it comes with a lazy load feature that allows you to display larger amounts of data.

We have a full tutorial about how to create an A-Z list very similar to your example: barn2.co.uk/wordpress-alphabetical-index. The main difference is that Posts Table Pro uses a table layout that can include other columns of information (e.g. an excerpt from your page content) as well as the title, and you can also add other helpful features such as search box and filters to help people find information more quickly (which will be good if you have 697 pages, spread across the 26 letters!). However, you can keep it simple and just include the ‘title’ column and hide the extra search box etc. if you prefer.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
