Support » Fixing WordPress » Display only one category on main index?

  • Hi all, forgive if this is a stupid question, but I’m not having any luck finding the answer –
I have five categories on my site, but only want the contents of one of them displayed on the main index page – for the rest of them, I want people to have to use the links on the side. Is there an easy way to do this?
    Best,
    James

  • You’ll find an easy solution in the WordPress Wiki.

This works fine, until I go to the “advanced editing” section of a new post, which generates this:
Warning: Cannot add header information – headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/…/my-hacks.php:6) in /var/www/…/wp-admin/post.php on line 158
    Any thoughts?

Whitespace in your my-hacks file? Make sure there is nothing before <?php and after ?>
