Support » Plugin: Dynamic Widgets » Display only on Category and its current / future children category

I am trying to display a widget on a category archive page, its category children and the post page associated with the category or children.

Currently I am able to accomplish this but whenever I add a new child category I have to go in and select the child category.

I see the option to exclude from displaying on a certain category / child categories, but not the reverse option to only show on a certain category and its children. Is this possible?

This would be helpful when adding new child categories so that I don’t need to go in and add the widget to the new child category.

The option is there. Switch the default from Yes to No.

Thank you. I see what you mean. When I did this it stopped the widget from appearing on the individual post page. I then attempted to add rules to the Single Posts section by setting Show widget default on single posts to No and selecting the exception categories to where it should be displayed on single posts. However, when clicking save, none of the results are stored.

The rules under Category Pages are able to be saved.

When saving the settings I have tried clicking Save, and Save & Return.

Yes, unfortunately a small bug makes this happen in 1.5.8. It’s fixed in the latest development version.
