Display of Ticker Delayed by reddit.com

    I’ve recently noticed that the display of my ticker is intermittently delayed while the browser indicates “Waiting for reddit.com…” in the status area. Once that disappears, then the ticker displays. It didn’t used to do this. Why does the ticker do anything with reddit.com and can this be disabled to prevent the delayed display issue? Thanks!

    The ticker doesn’t have anything to do with Reddit. There must be something else (some other script) going on with your site that is causing this issue.
