Hi @dimitris33, this is not currently supported in the WordPress menu and there’s no plugin or extension that I know of that does this exactly.
Technically, this is possible via custom walker menu but haven’t tried it really. This should be an interesting read … https://wordpress.org/support/topic/automatically-add-product-categories-to-custom-menus and http://jamescollings.co.uk/blog/wordpress-custom-walker-output-section-of-menu/
Another alternative is to add the Product Categories widget on the sidebar or widget area of your website. Check Appearance >> Widgets for your widget areas. Otherwise, you can add or create your own widget area. You should be familiar with editing templates or themes. See http://codex.wordpress.org/Widgetizing_Themes
Thanks you wooassist, there is a way to do it wiht Ubermenu if you have it of course but still i would prefer if there was a Woo way.
anyway no worries : )
ps. not sure if i should live this open for others to participate.
Well, if you’re manually creating the menus, you can just type in the number of products in each category when you edit the menu.
This works great if you don’t have a lot of churn in the products and their categories.
I also need a solution for this please keep this thread as open thank you. We are experiencing the same problem.
