    Hi there,
This may sound simple but I’m using the Chris Vickio ‘simple image widget’ in my sidebar and I can’t get the alt text to display on mouseover. I’ve tried inserting the required text into every concievable field fist on the widget and then on the source image in the library but to no avail :0( Is there an expert out there who can help me?

  • I’ve updated the plugin to 2.1. It includes a new option for setting the title, which is displayed on mouseover in a tooltip by most browsers.

@ Josh, no problem, thanks for helping.

@ Jon, glad you were able to get things working!

    Thanks Chris,
a fine job all round, and for me as a brand new user, my first real glimpse of the WordPress community in action. I must say, I’m totally sold. =0)

More power to you and a great plugin, Jon.

Also, if anyone is interested in seeing the plugin in this scenario with the new feature implemented, it’s at:

I’ve stacked the Chris Vickio ‘Simple image widget’ in the sidebar to form a column of image navigation with the mouseover giving intuitive direction. Clean and elegant.

I have version 3.3.4 installed and experiencing problems with the alt tag. In FireFox the alt tag of the image is not shown when you hover over the image with your mouse. In this topic i read about the title tag, which I should be using. But where is it? How do I set this?
