Display issue for employee-type of page

I have a site http://www.hammerprep.com that has a plugin to display employees on an employee page (http://www.hammerprep.com/featured-tutors/) and in the sidebar as an ad on all pages. For the sidebar, it randomly selects the employee.

I’m running into a problem and wanted to hear from experts if it’s a small adjustment or a poorly designed plugin.

Here are the problems:
#1 – Employees are displayed on the employee page in the order they were added. I’d like to display management on down.
#2 – I can’t restrict an employee showing from the side bar. For example, I run a tutoring company. I only want the tutors to show in the display ads, not the managers.
