Display inventory/stock as 2 different numbers per location
-
Pre-Purchase Question…
I have multiple locations with their own inventory on a product. In our system, we do split orders with the option to “ship complete” so we sometimes have more inventory than stock:
a customer orders 3 items to ship complete but waiting on a ladder to come in before we ship. Also on their order is 2 wrenches. We have 10 in stock/inventory before the order, after the order (before shipping) we have 8 stock/10 inventory, after the order ships we have 8 stock 8 inventory
Is there an ability to show inventory and stock as 2 separate numbers to show allocated inventory? Also, would this work with back-ordering like:
a customer orders 5 items to ship complete but waiting on 4 hammers to come in before we ship. We have 2 on order 0 in inventory so it should show as -2 stock 0 inventory before order and update to -4 stock 0 inventory after order. When we receive goods of 10 hammers it updates to 6 stock 10 inventory and creates invoices etc for pending orders using different plugins.
This will all be talking and updating with our accounting/logistics software p21 via the export CSV etc functionality.
Thank you for taking the time to read that I know it was wordy! hope it makes sense! Cheers
