Display Email Address on Directory Profile Template

    Hi,

    I would like to show the email address to logged in members on the Directory Profile Template. However, under Help -> Customization -> Directory profile template : “Inserting fields in HTML boxes”, there isn’t a shortcode to list email. Is it possible to display the email address on the Directory Profile Template?

    Hi bridgetwes! You can use the tag [eml] to list the email, but please note that listing email addresses may violate the CAN-SPAM act about publishing email lists if it exposes your member email addresses to the public.

    Thanks! The email is only going to be shown for logged in users. Is there anyway to turn off the ability to become a member through the public website? The website I’m working on is for people who complete a program and they only want administrators to be able to create members.

    Hi bridgetwes! You can do that by by unchecking “Allow signup for this membership from website” in all the membership levels.
