I’ve looked and haven’t found one, but is there a shortcode to be able to put a custom title/name for the downloads (ex [download id=427 show=”here”]. I’m basically looking to have the name of the download in the plugin to be descriptive, but include the link in a line of text on the front end (ex. You can download our flyer [here]). Other than changing the plugin code, I haven’t found a way to do this. I’m not sure how to add a shortcode feature for this either.

How about using a regular link, with the href set to [download_data data=”url” id=”x”] instead?

That wouldn’t count the number of downloads though would it?

If you go through DLM (using its url’s) yes, it will count.
