Display categories for multiple sets of tiles

  • I have created two sets of tiles on the landing page defined by their category. I used the following formula:

    [post-tiles categories=’1′ posts=’4′]
    [post-tiles categories=’2′ posts=’4′]

    The name of category 1 and “all” are displayed above the first set of tiles but the name of category 2 is not displayed above the second set of tiles. The correct tiles are shown.

    Is there any way to get the categories in the second set of tiles to display as they do above the first set? Also, is there any way to remove the “all” button?

    You could hide the all button with some simple css. Put this in your themes css folder.

    #category-all {
    	display: none !important;

    I’m looking into two categories. I forget to test the plugin with multiple groups of tiles sometimes so a bug may have slipped through. I’ll look into it.

    Though keep in mind if you disable the all button there wont be a way to return he focus to all the posts. You could modify the javascript to toggle on the second click but that’s not in there by default.

    Hi Ethan,
    did you have a chance to look into that problem? I also created more sets and can only see the categories of the first one. And I also would like to really remove the the “all button” to save space, not just hide it. Is there a way to do this without losing functionality?
    Thanks a lot, great plugin by the way
