Support » Plugin: Contact Form by WPForms - Drag & Drop Form Builder for WordPress » Display Attachment on Email Notification

  • Saw this on your website.

    Note: So since file attachments can often hurt email deliverability, WPForms doesn’t attach your user’s files in notification emails. Instead, we send the file uploads via email as links.

    Now, I want my file attachments to display in my email and not as link. Anyway i can do that?

    My users submit airtime pictures, i want to be able to see the pictures in my email notification.

    Hi @gw808092,

    Currently we don’t have the built-in feature to display uploaded images in notification emails. I’ve made a note of the feature request and we’ll keep it on our radar as we plan out our roadmap for the future.

    However, if you’re willing this can be accomplished with a bit of customization. Here’s how you could set this up:

    1) Open the form builder and go to Settings > Notifications. In the Message field,

    2) In the Message field, add the HTML for images with the field Smart Tag of the File Upload field. Here’s an example:
    <img src={field_id="7"}>

    In this example, we’d be pulling in the image for a field with an ID of 7. For details on how to locate the Field ID of your File Upload field(s), please see our tutorial on how to locate field ID number.

    Hope this helps!

    If you have further questions about paid features of WPForms, please contact us by submitting a support ticket. This is because rules do not allow support for paid features of WPForms on the support forum for WPForms Lite.

    Thanks 🙂
