Create a Page Template, and replace <?php the_content(); ?> template tag with <?php wp_list_categories(); ?>
Hey there!
In this same vein I’d like to create a page that just displays the posts (or just the titles) from ONE category. Can one of you help me do this?
I have a page titled Tutorials, and I’d like just my posts that are tutorials to populate there.
How do I do that?
Thanks!
Daniel
I’ll remember that, however I knew you would answer my Q promptly. 🙂
Since I’m new to wordpress, I’ll ask another question:
Sorry, I’m a little new to this.
I’m in my WordPress Dashboard, and I don’t see a function for creating a Page Template. Do I just create a new PAge and dump this into the HTML tab?
Maybe there’s a place on the WordPress help that takes a user through this Step by Step.

you could search the codex for page templates! Theres a tuitorial
http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Page_Templates
you can’t make them through WP. They are php files
You could copy page.php and rename it to start. Then it would be available in the theme editor for you to monkey with
My theme came with a template Called Featured Posts. It makes sense that I could just use this, but I don’t really know what to do with it. Didn’t come with any instructions.
I could just modify this template with the Posts per Page code, but again, when I create a new page and use this template, I’m not really sure what to do next.

Isn’t there just a line of code that will reference a Category or tag and display the posts from those cats or IDs? Either in list form or full. I don’t care which.
All I want to do is create a Page that displays the posts from a Category.
Step 1. Click here….
Step 2.
Step 3.
Step 4.
Step 5.
?
This can be done with a simple plug-in:
