• Hey Blaz, Absolutely enjoying your plugin. It’s worth 6 stars out of 5.

One question: Is there a way to display a list of a user’s own ratings on posts into its own page or widget (similar to the way posts’ ratings are available on the dashboard for admins, but only for the user’s own)?

In your ongoing improvement and development, I’d also like to suggest: A single “like” as a rating (via a heart, star or thumbs-up.

That is, it would be great if there is an option so that instead of just the 5-star (or hearts, thumbs-up) system if an option is available for users to also be able to choose a single icon (e.g. a single heart to signify ‘like’ for example). I’d reckon it would be the same system but instead of a multiple of 5, it’s just a single one, is all.

Thanks for all your work and generosity in this superb (and free!) plugin!

    Cheers.

    Nicholas

    Hi Nicholas,

I’m happy to hear that you like the plugin and thanks for your suggestions.

    1. I’m not sure if I understand correctly – do you mean that a person who rated posts on your website would see his/her own ratings? Unfortunately, this is not possible because votes are anonymous at the moment. However, when I implement IP verification this feature could be implemented because then information about each vote will be saved in the database. So, let’s figure something out when IP verification comes 🙂

    2. Uf, that’s a hard one because votes are numeric now and thus this feature would not be compatible with the majority of plugin components. Maybe I’ll make another plugin for this 😀

    Hi Blaz,

Yes, you read that correctly– kind of like how wishlist or favorites type plugins can do for logged-in (cookies/session) users as well as anonymous (cookies)– but no problem whatsoever– but yay on the upcoming IP verification! =)

As for the ability to have only one (or a different quantity of) symbol(s), aye, I had thought the actual rating symbols (and quantity, whether 5 symbols or 10 or 1, etc.) was abstracted out and you could have them so users can select. No worries on this either, but maybe cool for a future update; sure to get even more users for this excellent product.

    Thanks just the same!

@atomicnicholas, you are right – I could implement such a feature with cookies 🙂 I don’t why this didn’t come to my mind sooner 🙂 I’ve put this feature on to-do list and I’ll keep you updated.

As for the second feature, I’ve put it on the ideas list 🙂 Thanks for your suggestions.
