[resolved] Dismissing notification without pageload (2 posts)

    In http://wordpress.org/support/topic/achievement-box-wont-go-away?replies=2 you mentioned it would be difficult to dismiss the notification box without redirecting to the user page. I'm not sure that's true.

    Could you not remove the wrapper div AND use JQuery to just send a post to the user profile URL? It'd force the URL to load, and that should accomplish the notification dismissal internally... but you'd not be actually showing the page to the user...?

    Uh, yes, I suppose. But that is half-way to what would be required to implement a basic AJAX response handler, anyway. It's a good idea for anything looking for an immediate solution.
