[Resolved] Discus Exclusion

  • Hi,
First of all awesome plugin. Best minify plugin I have tried.

Slight issue I am having with discus. How do you prevent autoptimize from minifying javascript from other sites.

    i have added:
    embed.js,count.js,lib.js,client.js,load.js,lounge.js,alfie.js,discovery.js,event.js,
    discus.com,mediacdn.disqus.com,juggler.services.disqus.com,
    referrer.disqus.com,tempest.services.disqus.com

but still can’t get it to work.
I can’t indiviually add some .js files as they have an ever changing referrer and page code.

Any ideas on how to fix?
    Kind regards

    Hi eoc;
Just did a quick test with default Autoptimize and Disqus settings (so no specific exclusions for Disqus in AO) and (at first sight) everything seems to work, cfr http://futtta.be/wordpress/blog/2013/07/12/autoptimize-disqus-test-for-eoc/

If it does not work, I would activate “look only for JS in head” in AO and “Output JavaScript in footer” in the Disqus plugin settings (which are hard to find). The combination of these should allow Disqus to remain unaltered by AO.

    hope this helps,
    frank

    Hi Frank
Thanks, the ‘look only for JS in head’ solved the issue. Plugin is working perfectly now.
    Fantastic work.
    Kind regards
