    I noticed a situation where the product bundle discount does not seem to be applied. I have a bundle composed of two individual products with a discount set of 20%. I have not marked two individual products in the bundle as “Priced individually”. For the product bundle itself I have set the price at $20.00. The discount should be applied to the $20.00, but no discount is applied at all. If I set one of the individual products to “Priced individually” and set its price to $10.00 and change the base price on the bundle itself to $20.00, then the discount is applied – but only to the individual $10.00 product in the bundle (the resulting price is $18.00 total).

    I hope this is clear! Is this the way it is supposed to work? I expected that the discount would be applied to the total price of the bundle – including the “base” price (which in my original case would be the total price as the individual bundled items were not priced individually).

    One mistake in my explanation! The last sentence in the first paragraph should read: “If I set one of the individual products to “Priced individually” and set its price to $10.00 and change the base price on the bundle itself to $10.00, then the discount is applied – but only to the individual $10.00 product in the bundle (the resulting price is $18.00 total instead of $16.00).”

    Hey @jlahm,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Bulk Discounts allows you to offer higher discounts to customers who purchase more items in a Product Bundle. As you correctly mentioned, by default, these discounts apply to the prices of all bundled items that are Priced Individually.

    To make these discount apply on the Bundle’s base price, please use this snippet:

    add_filter( 'wc_pb_bulk_discount_apply_to_base_price', '__return_true' );

    If you are not certain how to use snippets like this, I’d suggest having a look at this plugin — you may find it quite useful as it allows you to manage all your snippets in one place.

    Does this help?

    Jason: Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, this worked just fine. I do wonder whether TRUE should be the default setting, or at least have a plugin option to toggle it on/off on a per-bundle basis.

    Hey @jlahm,

    Happy New Year! 💫

    I am glad that you found this snippet useful! We will definitely consider adding this as an option inside the mini-extension if we get more requests about it.
