# Discount error

 * Hello.
   I have created a Dynamic Rules of 10% for user id 50, and when user id
   50 buys over DKK 1000 they must have a 10% discount in the basket and the customer
   must be able to see that discount. I have tried logging in to user id 50. It 
   does not show the discount

 * I tested that locally on a test site with an identical rule, but that seems to
   be working for me.
 * Have you tried it without the >$1000 condition?
 * The issue may have to do with tax: please try with a higher number like 2000 
   in Cart. Depending on your tax settings that could be 1000 with or without tax.

 * Now it works. 😊 It was the VAT that did it. Thanks for the help
 * can I make it so that items that are on sale do not give the 10% discount on 
   it??

 * Regarding the other question, it would be possible with some discount rules, 
   but unfortunately it’s not possible with the specific rule you have there.
 * If you have a discount rule with this checkbox enabled, it’s possible: [https://prnt.sc/lSlt7q7o_bee](https://prnt.sc/lSlt7q7o_bee)
 * But that checkbox cannot be enabled with ‘value’ conditions. like “cart value
   > 1000”
