    Hi there,

In order to delete your site from Search Console this must be done from the Search Console side. It’s not something that can be done from within Site Kit. The link you shared has further details on this, and I’ve added a screenshot of how to do this below:

When you mention there is no “red link this time” I’d be happy to help out if you want to explain more on this,

In relation to your Search Console property within Site Kit the plugin does require a Search Console property in order to verify your site and display search related data. For this reason you may prefer to restrict access to this property or to consider changing other WordPress administrators access levels. All WordPress “administrator” role users can setup the plugin and can therefore verify a site with the same property.

Finally I’ll explain the difference between resetting Site Kit and removing a property.

    • Resetting the plugin will disconnected all previously connected services for all users. Your Search Console property will not be removed, it will just become “unverified” at Search Console level. Your other services may also be impacted at service level. For example if you used Site Kit to insert your Google Analytics snippet then your snippet would not longer appear, so while the Aanlytics property would remain in your Google Analytics account at https://analytics.google.com data would not be collected.
    • Deleting a property would remove that property and you would not see data for that property at Site Kit level or at Search Console level. Within Site Kit you will be required to setup the plugin once more, at which point the Search Console property would once again be created.

Let me know if the above answer your questions, or if you have anything else you would like me to expand on. Your plugin website has more information on the above.

Hello James, thank you for the rich explanation. I meant something else. I did found the place you showed me on the screenshot but is it ok to disconnect [the whole] Site Kit before removing the property on Search Console? I do not want to leave any code there, you know? Google explained that if I don’t do it the whole process is not completed. Best regards, Łukasz.

    Hi Łukasz,

If you only used Site Kit to verify your website with Search Console then resetting Site Kit and removing the property at Search console level is enough to have the property both unverified and removed. If you had you property verified before Site Kit by other means you may need to check the verification methods for each property.

If the above doesn’t assist please inform me whether you looking to remove verification for a Search Console property, remove a Search Console property in full, stop your site from being indexed in search or just restrict access to the Site Kit dashboards. If you let me know the objective I can hopefully assist, or point you in the right direction.

Note that as we’re limited to Site Kit plugin support here the product experts at the Search Console Help Center may be able to assist better than we can here, but do however let me you know of the above.

Hi James, okay I have got it now. First resetting Site Kit then removing the property. Thank you very much. Best regards, Łukasz
