# Disble Theme Upgrade Notification

 * Hello I am running a WP install with an old theme spawned from Kubrick.
 * When in the Manage Theme options page the `There is a new version of default 
   available. View version 1.7.2 Details or upgrade automatically.` message appears.
 * Since this is a hacked version of the Kubrick theme, I want to get rid of this
   message in case someone accidentally selects “Upgrade all” !
 * **How can I disable the themes “upgrade automatically” message?**

 * I just noticed that [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/core-control/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/core-control/)
   may do the job, but I would like a snippet I could put in the functions.php that
   would do the same thing without having to install a whole plugin.
 * Or even where in the Kubrick code is this version check to disable it.
