Disappointing GDPR Compliance and Integration Issues
-
I’ve been using this plugin for a while (using another account), and unfortunately, it hasn’t met my expectations. In my experience, the plugin does not seem to comply with GDPR standards, which is a significant concern when handling user data. One of the major issues I’ve encountered is the inability to easily send a proper CMP (Consent-Manage/Reject) signal to the plugin. This makes it incredibly difficult to ensure that consent is properly managed in line with GDPR regulations.
Additionally, the plugin does not seem to listen to signals from third-party CMPs like Cookiebot, Iubenda, ConsentManager, or Didomi, which are widely used solutions for managing user consent. This lack of compatibility creates a significant roadblock for users who want to integrate multiple tools in a seamless way.
Another major issue is that the plugin does not align with the WordPress Consent API, which could help solve many of these communication problems between plugins. This lack of support for a standardized API further complicates the user experience and integration process.
It seems like the plugin owners are focusing more on selling their own CMP plugin rather than ensuring proper integration and compliance with other popular third-party services, which makes the whole experience feel limiting and not fully optimized for GDPR compliance.
I hope the developers address these concerns and make the necessary improvements to make the plugin fully GDPR-compliant and better integrated with the WordPress ecosystem. Until then, I cannot recommend this plugin for users who need full compliance and smooth integration with other tools.
