Support » Plugin: Paid Memberships Pro » Disappointing

  • Pro it is not. Common requirements, such as billing on the first of the month or membership by calendar month, require additional plugins and custom code created by support. The code provided by support is buggy and requires many revisions before it works and may have errors down the line.

Support is unresponsive until you point out you are paying for support. I don’t want to have to yell to get help, I want support. There is no evidence they actually “We strive to reply to tickets within 1 business day and to resolve tickets as quickly as possible.” In the meantime your site is losing money.

I am stuck with them but learn from my mistake, steer clear of this plugin. The support is non-existant, common configurations require. extra plugins and custom code. This is not simple or complete. Look for a more polished membership plugin.

I apologize that you are not happy with the support you have received. If you would like to reach out to us via the Contact Form I can issue you a refund and cancel your account.

We very seriously make the decisions for what features are part of the core plugin and what features are available via an Add On or a recipe. This is based on the widespread feedback from all of our users. What one user believes is a common requirement varies greatly from what we see among the full base of sites running Paid Memberships Pro.

Some of our Add Ons and recipes require developer experience in order to set up properly, particularly when a site is trying to get several Add Ons or recipes working in tandem or has specific needs for how they see memberships working in their project. The Add Ons are labeled with the “Ease of Use” so that users can gauge if they possess the skill set needed to work with that code.

I hope that you are able to move to a membership system that better fits your requirements for simplicity.
