    I love WordPress.

I've been telling about everyone about it, and even trying to write about it on my blog http://wpworks.wordpress.com/.

But, I'm so disappointed with the fact that I've wrote my first plugin, and I'm still waiting for a simple role approve on subversion for two days...

I think that the process of registering and publishing plugins has to change, to get more agility.

Code is Poetry, true... but Internet is about speed in spreading knowledge, and WordPress has to care about us, that want to make the best fot its community.

    Hope somebody help me.

    Sorry about my pour english.

    Best regards.

  2. Email plugins@wordpress.org

Yes - It can take a while (my first plugin, it was 2 weeks).

I think it's too much time. How long did it take to subversion approve your "developer"(or something like that) role?

  4. As I said, two weeks (maybe more, I applied for a plugin 18 months ago and have since forgotten the time-spent). After that, the second one was a week, and the last one was a couple days, but I think I'm on the 'known good-guys'.

The reason this is STILL a manual approval, is to stop spammers, hackers and evil bad people from trying crap that the users don't need. Think of it as a background check ;)

I have no more, or less, access to SVN than any other plugin dev. I'm not a core dev. I AM a forum mod, but that's a whole separate thing, and totally unrelated code-wise.
