    I’m not a tech-savvy person and i just started learning WP early this year. I chose WP because i thought being the most-used platform globally, wp should be able to offer more support I need to create my first site.

    My experiences so far has been the exact opposite. My first two inquiries to wP forum received 0 replies. After reading my most recent issue, WP moderator advised that issue should be sent to Buddypress, which is the same company as WP as I just realized then.

    So I posted that issue on BP forum and still received 0 replies as of this very moment.

    This non-responsive attitude also applies to most plugin operators I’ve contacted so far.

    Without a solution to my BP issue, I can’t move on and I couldn’t be more disappointed on my overall experiences with wp / bp.

  • WordPress is a rather complex CMS, especially to users with no experience. Also, I don’t know why you assume that you are entitled to free support with WordPress. If you have a specific technical problem, you should search for a WP developer in your area. If you have a specific technical (programming) question on the other hand you can try the WP stack exchange forum.

    Buddypress is a free plugin : you should not expect premium support.
    I think is not fair to post a 1 star for a free plugin you choose just because the support is not reactive. Rate for a free plugin is mainly for plugin functionality, code quality and usefulness.

    With free open source you have the required knowledge or have someone with this knowledge (friend, freelance or agency)

    If you are not a tech-savvy person , you should have hired someone to configure your website.in next time if you need any help let me know.
