I installed the plug-in based on this line from description:
“Fixes ALL Google Search Console / Structured Data Testing Tool errors”

Foolishly, I thought that was referring to THIS plug-in; you know, seeing as it is written on the description for the plugin. But, nope… Turns out if you want to “fix” the errors, you also have install another plug-in, and then upgrade that.

Further more, when running a Google meta test prior to install using the std WC meta, I have 3 warnings, and zero errors. Add the plug-in, and the warnings jump up, PLUS, an error is added as the plug-in creates an error when it over-writes the WC meta. But, I guess I could PAY to upgrade and have that “error” fixed… no thank you

WPSSO JSON is an add-on to WPSSO Core – that is mentioned several times in the description.

And yes, the Free / Standard version fixes all Google testing tool errors for the supported Schema types (Article, BlogPosting, etc.).

It sounds like you were looking for WooCommerce integration, which is provided with the WPSSO Core Premium plugin, and the Schema Product type JSON-LD markup, which is provided with the WPSSO JSON Premium add-on.

It sounds like you may have missed the section about WooCommerce in the SSO > Setup Guide. See here for more info:

    https://wpsso.com/docs/plugins/wpsso/installation/better-schema-for-woocommerce-step-by-step-guide/

    https://wpsso.com/docs/plugins/wpsso/installation/integration/woocommerce-integration/

The WPSSO JSON add-on description also mentions that the WPSSO Core Premium plugin and its WPSSO JSON Premium add-on are required for WooCommerce support, and to fix all Google testing tool errors:

Better Schema JSON-LD markup for WooCommerce:

The WooCommerce plugin provides incomplete Schema markup for Google’s Product Rich Results — luckily the WPSSO Core Premium plugin and its WPSSO JSON Premium add-on provides extensive, complete, and correct Facebook Product meta tags and Schema product markup for Google Rich Results / Rich Snippets, including additional product images, product variations, product attributes (brand, color, condition, EAN, dimensions, GTIN-8/12/13/14, ISBN, material, MPN, size, SKU, weight, etc), product reviews, product ratings, sale start / end dates, sale prices, pre-tax prices, VAT prices, and much, much more (see an example test product).

Fixes ALL Google Search Console / Structured Data Testing Tool errors:

A value for the headline field is required.
A value for the image field is required.
A value for the logo field is required.
A value for the publisher field is required.
    The aggregateRating field is recommended.
    The brand field is recommended.
    The headline field is recommended.
    The image field is recommended.
    The mainEntityOfPage field is recommended.
    The review field is recommended.
This Product is missing a global identifier.
    etc.

Additional e-Commerce plugins are also provided with the WPSSO Core Premium plugin, including Easy Digital Downloads and WP eCommerce.

It sounds like you were looking for Premium features in the Free / Standard versions, and got upset when the Free / Standard versions did not provide what you wanted.

When there are Premium versions of a plugin available, it may be worth taking a moment to see if the features you want are included in the Free / Standard versions, and if not, then choosing if you want to compensate the author for the additional features and support provided with the Premium versions.

YES – I was looking for woocommerce integration, and it seemed I had found it, as your plug-in description states the following:

The Standard and Premium versions both fix all Google testing tool errors for their supported Schema types:
A value for the headline field is required.
A value for the image field is required.
A value for the logo field is required.
A value for the publisher field is required.
    The aggregateRating field is recommended.
    The brand field is recommended.
    The headline field is recommended.
    The image field is recommended.
    The mainEntityOfPage field is recommended.
    The review field is recommended.
This Product is missing a global identifier.
    etc.

NOTE the reference to Product identifier, rating field, etc – so, when you explicitly state that the STANDARD version supports PRODUCTS, then OF COURSE I am going to think that it will suit my purpose, espec when you also state “Most complete Schema JSON-LD markup for WooCommerce”.

So – in reply to your comment about it being worth a moment to check what is included (you know, trying to make out this is all my fault for not checking) – YOU STATE THE STANDARD VERSION WILL DO WHAT I NEED.

    Again, DECEPTIVE

If you continue to pick-and-choose selected text out of context, then obviously you’ll have difficulty knowing what features are available. I added the “The Standard and Premium versions both fix all Google testing tool errors for their supported Schema types” sentence after your feedback, specifically to address any possible confusion from anyone else picking and choosing text out of context. To expand that sentence for you, it means that:

    * The Standard version fixes all Google testing tool errors for its supported Schema types.

    * The Premium version fixes all Google testing tool errors for its supported Schema types.

Hopefully, reading the complete description in context, will help clear things up for you. Here is the complete section about WooCommerce again:

Most complete Schema JSON-LD markup for WooCommerce:

The WooCommerce plugin provides incomplete Schema markup for Google’s Product Rich Results — luckily the WPSSO Core Premium plugin and its WPSSO JSON Premium add-on provide extensive, complete, and correct Facebook Product meta tags and Schema product markup for Google Rich Results / Rich Snippets, including additional product images, product variations, product attributes (brand, color, condition, EAN, dimensions, GTIN-8/12/13/14, ISBN, material, MPN, size, SKU, weight, etc), product reviews, product ratings, sale start / end dates, sale prices, pre-tax prices, VAT prices, and much, much more (see an example WooCommerce test product).

Fixes all Google Search Console / Structured Data Testing Tool errors:

The Standard and Premium versions both fix all Google testing tool errors for their supported Schema types:

A value for the headline field is required.
A value for the image field is required.
A value for the logo field is required.
A value for the publisher field is required.
    The aggregateRating field is recommended.
    The brand field is recommended.
    The headline field is recommended.
    The image field is recommended.
    The mainEntityOfPage field is recommended.
    The review field is recommended.
This Product is missing a global identifier.
    etc.

Google regularly reviews and changes their Schema markup requirements – WPSSO JSON Premium customers can also open a Premium support ticket for assistance with any new Google testing tool errors.

Additional e-Commerce plugins are also provided with the WPSSO Core Premium plugin, including Easy Digital Downloads and WP eCommerce.
