I have all static pages and I type my thing there, hit enter, type a new paragraph, etc. I hit save, it saves, I go to another page, return later and then, when I return, all the <p> tags are gone.
I add them in the HTML code but the same happens every time again.
    Tiresome!
Can someone please tell me if there is a way to fix this? It’s very frustrating…

If you want to manually insert any HTML such as <p> tags, the Visual Editor will continue to confound you and make your life difficult.

That’s just the way it is, there’s no way around it. 😉

Try disabling the Visual Editor for your profile. You’ll lose the benefit of the visual editor but you’re adding <p> by hand so that may not be an issue for you.

Via http://your-wordpress-URL-here/wp-admin/profile.php check the box for Disable visual editor.

OK, well, but I only added it manually because selecting the text and saying it’s a paragraph wasn’t working.
I know HTML, but I don’t know everything, so I would prefer to keep the visual editor on.
I don’t understand why it’s not working to say a certain area should be placed in a paragraph… *looks confused*
