I have a problem with the way WordPress or the plugin Amazon Product In a Post Plugin converts the characters in the URLs.

If I want to add an affiliate link to an Amazon product, Amazon would suggest the following link (I have removed my affiliate-ID):

But when I use the plugin Amazon Product In a Post Plugin the URL is converted to the following:

And it just doesn't look right when you click on it and it also seems like it isn't tracking it correctly.

    Can any of you help/clarify?
    Thanks in advance!

The URL with all the 'weird' characters is just an encoded URL. When the browser goes to the URL, Amazon correctly decodes it. You can always test your links to make sure you are getting credit (or if anything looks weird) by logging in to your affiliate account on amazon, the go to the menu LINKS & BANNERS (on the top left) and then LINK CHECKER. For the US amazon site, it is https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/network/tools/link-checker/main.html.

Copy the link and paste it into the checker (even with all the weird stuff there) and click 'check link', you should see Amazon say 'Success' and that you are getting credit for them. Let me know if it is not.

    Warm regards,
