Disabling Yoast SEO To Use Google XML

I currently have Yoast SEO installed and when I tried to install this plugin, I received the error that it will cause issues with Yoast. Do I simply uncheck the box in Yoast for “enable XML sitemap functionality” in order to start using this plugin? Thanks!
