I recently installed BNFW on my site to disable the onslaught of emails received whenever our users create new accounts, change passwords, etc. For the most part, disabling these emails has worked really effectively – I just add a new notification, select the most similar subject to what I want to disable, enter my email since an email must be entered to save the notification, then check “Disable Notification” before saving it.

This has worked for the “New User Registration” and “Password Changed” notifications, but hasn’t worked for the “Please Moderate, a New Pingback…” notification as I still get those. If anyone has any advice or suggestions that would be much appreciated.

    Hi @spencerfcloud,
    Thanks for your message.

I always recommend disabling trackbacks and pingbacks from the WordPress Settings as their usefulness/relevance is questionable for most these days. Is this a possible solution for you or do you still need / use them?

    Thanks,
    Jack
