Support » Fixing WordPress » disabling comments on already-published pages

I’m using the twentyten template. I originally made it as a static site, (one column, no comments, no sidebar with links… just pages) and everything was great. Then I got hosting elsewhere, and exported/imported my blog/site. Now I can’t seem to get rid of the comments box at the bottom of each page. I’ve gone to settings-discussions and unlcicked the comments and pingback checkboxes, tried doing this for each page, refreshing, etc, but nothing is working.

Do I have to just delete these pages and make/publish them all over again to get rid of the darn comments boxes? This is driving me nuts.

The comments template is usually called in single.php. Search for it there and remove it or comment it out.

oh! i just deleted all the mumbo-jumbo and it worked! thanks so much!
